Ice Magic® (the way forward for synthetic ice)
Ice Magic International continues to experience growth in sales, with entrepreneurs capitalising on the continued explosion of interest in ice related activities. Local authorities and developers have been presented with a viable option to wet ice. The initial capital outlay and on-going running costs are substantially less than real ice and therefore providing clients with a profitable, revenue generating resource. Ice Magic® is ISO9001 Quality Assurance Registered.
Ice Panels
Pro Skate 'Ice' Panels are 1m x 1m in size, 18mm thick and offer a user friendly and practical installation technique. The warranty on these panels is 10 years from new. The skating quality of the Ice Magic® panels is excellent and endorsed by top skating professionals and skating coaches alike. The Pro Skating 'Ice' Panels fix together with tongue and groove splines, creating a virtually seamless surface. These splines are precision engineered for ease of installation and removal.
Barriers
Barriers are precision cut and pre-constructed in 2m and 1m sections for ease of installation. When used in conjunction with the Pro Skating 18mm 'Ice' Panels they are located at the edge of the 'ice' floor surface and attached to the outer groove of the rink floor using small sections of the tongue and groove splines. Ice Magic® barriers are pre-assembled using a unique through security fixing system which uses a one size miniature Allen key bolt. This provides the barrier sections with extra rigidity. Barriers have a 15 year warranty.
Support Package
All other support equipment e.g. skates, skate grinder, rink cleaning machine, etc. come with full manufacturers warranty, with chosen suppliers being industry leaders within their particular field. As for necessary consumables, these may be purchased on-going from Ice Magic International or alternative suppliers of the client's choosing.
How efficient and serviceable is synthetic 'ice'?
With recommended maintenance and care, Ice Magic® synthetic ice maintains a consistent glide factor of approximately 90% for the life of the product. By comparison, real ice rinks start with gliding capabilities at 100%, reducing to approximately 80% after a few hours. In addition, real ice rinks have to close at regular intervals each day for re-surfacing whilst a synthetic ice rink can remain open 24 hours a day. That has to make good business sense.
